We are excited to share some fantastic news that have occurred throughout May.
Celebrity City Hospice Golf Day
On Friday 10th May, we had the pleasure of hosting Celebrity Golf Day in aid of City Hospice on our Button Course. The day was organised by Member Nicky Piper MBE and was a huge success with over 90 golfers taking part, all in aid of a very worthy cause. The evening featured a hog rolls dinner, an auction and entertainment from the amazing Bob Webb!
Wales Seniors Snooker Qualifier
Cottrell Resort Member David Nicholas Jones has qualified for the Wales Super Seniors Snooker Team (Over 55’s). David (Nick) now represents Wales in the Celtic Challenge in Carlow against Ireland on Saturday 6th July 2024. On speaking to Nick – “I am very grateful for all the encouragement from everyone at Cottrell Resort and hopefully in the new season I can sneak into the Wales Seniors Over 40’s”.
Cardiff and Vale Past Captains
On Monday 13th May, we welcomed the Cardiff & Vale Ladies Past Captains Annual Golf Day, here at Cottrell Resort. Whilst the weather wasn’t on their side, the ladies still braved the rain and wind to play on our Mackintosh Course. They then went on to have a 2 Course meal, served in our Tylers Cabin, followed by a presentation and raffle

Captains Away Day
On Friday 24th May, our Men’s Section attended Marlborough Golf Club for Men’s Captain Will Thomas’s Away Day. All who attended enjoyed a wonderful day of golf in the sunshine!
