On Friday 15th October 2021, we had the honor of hosting an annual gathering of ex Welsh Hockey players here at Cottrell Park Golf Resort.

These incredible ladies, were presented with GB Hockey caps to players who toured the United States in 1965. They were the First ever Ladies GB team, and are only now being recognized for their achievements.

We are super proud to have Eirianwen Thomas, Founder Member of Cottrell Park, as one of the ladies presented.

Two Ladies from Wales, England and one Lady from Scotland and Ireland, were presented with their individual caps, embroidered and numbered with their squad numbers.
The caps were presented by the President of Great Britain Hockey, Sheila Morrow.

Congratulations to all the ladies who represented Great Britain in 1965.
